Here are a few of the top-rated hikes located around Phoenix!
Hidden Valley Trail via Mormon Trail
This 3.6-mile loop is located near Phoenix and offers fantastic scenic views! The trail is primarily used for hiking and dogs on leashes are welcome! While it is rated ‘moderate’ many people of all ages have enjoyed this local favorite! In addition, it is accessible from January to January!
The 1.3 mile out and back trail is located near Paradise Valley, AZ and features a great forest setting! It is rated as moderate and the trail exceeds 1140 feet! The trail is used for hiking and walking, and don’t forget to bring your pooch (but keep him on a leash)!
Wind Cave Trail
Wind Cave Trail is a 2.9 mile out and back journey near Mesa, AZ. It does feature a cave (hence the name) and is rated as difficult – so take heed! This trail is known for being dog-friendly and draws many from the general public because of the cave itself!
Camelback Mountain Summit Trail
This 1.1 mile out and back trail offers scenic views and is rated as ‘difficult’! It is open from March until October – so get training now!
